Writing and Research in Public Relations

Writing and research in public relations was a very important course and I learned how to write news reports, feature stories, community reviews, newsletters, brochures, public service announcements, and web writing like blogs and website reviews. With the 20th century there came along a boom in technology and the use of internet blogs and social networking sites have become crucial in grabbing the public attention. I think that writing and research was a great course because it taught me great essentials for communicating with the public and how to write effectively.

Feature Stories and Fact Sheets

Fact sheets and feature stories were something I've never tackled before. These two items were something new to me and at first I didn't think was something related to public relations.

What are Brochures?

Brochures are a great to provide information in a condense and brief pamphlet to tell people about something. They can be used advertise a product or service, they contain pictures or data to describe something, and promotional services. I learned how to effectively put together a brochure to efficiently advertise to promote something. Learning about brochures will help me in my future public relations profession by giving a leg up on writing effective brochures.
